Over our 50 years 4Cs has respected and recognized that many of the individuals, families, and children we serve continue to face barriers and social inequities coming from generational poverty, historically under-represented communities and systemic racism. We dedicate staff time and our work to “building our knowledge together” about the inequities that continue to exist in our world. We use this lens to guide our work in collaborating and being an ally with community partners, Early Care & Education providers, and families to dismantle barriers and provide access to resources and Education that provide Opportunity for children and their families to succeed.
4Cs continues to Advocate for our local communities unique, diverse and ever-changing needs. Utilizing our steadfast resources and reaching out in new ways, we are committed to the Inclusion of the broad diversity of families and children by:
• connecting families to culturally appropriate and high quality child care and early learning programs
• supporting and building the supply of child care that is needed
• advocating for families holistically and always recognizing that they are their child’s first teacher
• training coaching and supporting child care providers and early learning teachers – many of whom are women and bilingual indigenous & people of color
• providing financial resources to support access to care for those who cannot afford it
