As we come to the end of the year that marks our 50th year of service to the children, families, and child care providers of Sonoma County, we reflect on the incredible journey that has brought us to where we are today. In 1972, 4Cs began with 7 volunteers and a modest $11,000 budget. Today, with over 195 employees, we've evolved into a large multi service resource & referral organization serving over 3000 children and 550 child care providers annually. As 4Cs has grown so has the need for support to pay for costly preschool and child care access to ensure all Sonoma County families can thrive. To date, 1314 families still await affordable child care and early learning options. We estimate that well over 75,000 children have been served over our 50 years, and everywhere we go in the community, we meet people who have benefited from 4Cs services. Please take a moment to watch our 50-year anniversary video which highlights some of the work we have done, but also hear for yourself the impact 4Cs has had on the lives of families in our community.
4Cs vision for the next 50 years is one of continued advancement in three key areas: 1. Working towards a reality where every family in Sonoma County can access quality child care. 2. Child care workers are valued and fairly compensated. 3. Our community thrives through a robust child care infrastructure with beautifully designed spaces for children. In this milestone year, our goal is to raise $50,000 for our 50 years by the end of 2023 through generous individual contributions and we need your help. We are thrilled to share that the Ken Martin Family has generously offered a matching donation of $25,000. That means this year your contribution will have double the impact, making a significant difference in the lives of children, families, and child care providers supported by 4Cs. Please help us secure this match and join me as we extend our heartfelt thanks to the Ken Martin Family. Thank you for your continued partnership and for being a part of the driving force behind 4Cs!
